How did I get here, with the best job ever?!
Well, my work has always been about sitting with people in moments that matter. Before becoming a celebrant, I spent many years (& still do) working as a clinical counsellor, holding space for people through grief, love, uncertainty, and change.
Again and again, I was reminded how sacred it is to be trusted with someone’s story.
Over time, I realised that what I was most drawn to was the act of holding space itself. The quiet presence. The careful pacing. The way language, silence, and ritual can honour moments of transition rather than rush them.
That understanding deepened when I was invited to officiate the wedding of two people, very close to my heart. Standing with them, shaping a ceremony that reflected their story, and witnessing their commitment felt both familiar and new. It was then that I saw ceremony as a continuation of the work I had always done, just held in a different form.
Gathered grew from that place. Through weddings, funerals, and life’s many thresholds, I offer ceremony as a way of honouring relationship, story, and meaning.
My hope is that when you arrive here, you feel a sense of steadiness, warmth, and care, as though the ceremony has already begun.
Being your celebrant is such a special role
For some, the ceremony is simply the legal bit. For others, it’s the beating heart of their story. My job is to bring the love into the legals and weave your story into every word spoken.

Our son was recently married to his long-term partner by the wonderful Celebrant Olivia.
After gently listening to the couple’s needs Olivia suggested a Gathered Signature Ceremony would be the best way to support their journey towards wedding expectations and highlight their special love story.
This proved to be an amazing experience for them and myself watching from the sidelines. Olivia reassured, explained the whole process of her role and the legal aspect all the while keeping the sacredness and ritual of marriage paramount in importance and feeling. She was able to weave a deeply spiritual perspective into how their story was presented, importance to each other and bring light humour in with stories from their family and friends.
Her joy and enthusiasm in her role to support everyone involved in the wedding was amazing. Easy to talk to and more importantly she listened deeply as was obvious when she conducted their marriage ceremony.
It was such a privilege and pleasure to witness this beautiful woman being the celebrant of our son’s marriage.
